ALEKSANDRAS (ALEX) ALEKSEJEVAS

Aleksandras (Alex) Aleksejevas was born in 1963 in Lithuania.

He graduated from Kaunas A.Martinaitis Art School in Lithuania in 1995. He has been working as a sculptor since 1993. He has exhibited extensively in his native country since 1997 and also in Moscow since 2000 where his creative activity took place until his move to the UK in 2004.

His works are found in the public collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery and M.Tsvetaeva Museum in Moscow, A.Akhmatova Municipal Museum in St.Petersburg, and Florian Museum in Corabunary (Romania), also in the private collections in Lithuania, Russia, Belgium, Germany, USA, Greece, Estonia, UK, Canada.

Alex Aleksejevas is an associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors from 2004 and also a member of the International Art Foundation in Moscow from 2000.

His favourite material is bronze. He knows all the technologies of bronze casting and does himself all the operations, from modelling to casting and patinating.
