GILL PARKER
Gill Parker studied at South Wilts Grammar School in Salisbury, where for the first time she was introduced to sculpture. In May 1983 Gill presented her first bronzes to London and early supported and encouraged from the Sladmore Gallery presented her first exhibition in November 1984. Gill is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists. She currently lives and works in a beautiful part of rural Gloucestershire.
Gill Parker is one of the leading bronze
sculpture artists in the UK. She
works with bronze; a cold hard material that executed well can
become warm and alive. She had a great passion for the
natural world and when she was young she loved to study animals,
their movement and spirit. With many
major commissions to her name including the life size bronze
Motivator at Ascot Racecourse, Gill’s sculpture is eagerly sought by
art collectors around the world and is in many public and private
collections. |
