MILENA ZEVU

Milena ZeVu creates exclusive portraits and sculptures, made with thousands of Swarovski crystals, each inserted by hand into acrylic, which results in unique glittering masterpieces. She has collaborated with celebrities such as David Beckham, Pele and Ronaldo to create one-of-a-­kind original art works.

In December 2007, she participated at the Professional Footballer Association Centenary Gala event in UK, during which her work ‘The Crystal Bail’ was sold for £95.000 for the benefit of the Children Hospital in Manchester. Her painting ‘PELE’, the portrait of football star Pele, was signed by the legend himself during ‘Streets to Fields’ Charity Gala Event in March 2008 in New York, when Pele received a Lifetime Achievement Award presented to him by David Beckham.

Her work ‘Armour of Light’, an impressive Bonelli Eagle sculpture, created under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, was sold in October 2009 at the Sotheby’s led auction in Monte Carlo for the highest selling price among 54 other art works. Her portrait of ‘Marilyn Monroe’ has more than 18,500 crystals and captures the glamour and beauty of the legendary Diva. It was part of the amfAR collection sold in Dubai in December 2009. ‘The Princess Grace Kelly’ portrait is part of the private collection of the Grimaldi Family of Monaco.  

Her work ‘Beauty has no borders’ a piece of jewellery and a sculpture was exhibited in Monaco, Singapore, Tokyo and Abu Dhabi, during 2010 under the Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan of the UAE. In December 2011 Milena ZeVu participated at the auction organized by Foundation of Princess Stephanie in Monte Carlo with her work from the collection ‘Magnificent Nature’.

Amongst other achievements, she has received the Special Jury Award at the Art Biennale 2002 in San Remo (Italy) for her painting ‘CLONE ME', as well as the International EMAF Award 2005 for group project Personal Cinema - Balkan Wars, which her video work ‘ONE’ was part of.

She graduated at the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade (Serbia) and continued her education in Florence (Italy). She took part in various group and solo exhibitions in Greece, Austria, Spain, Germany, Monaco, Japan, including a solo exhibition in the Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest (Hungary) in 2005 with her work Tapittura huge painting/rug installation.
