Description of Sculpture:
This portrait was modelled from Life, cast in bronze with a classic dark brown potash patina.

Artist's Interpretation:
“I modelled this in clay from life. Vasili Raz, who sat for the portrait, is Russian and cannot speak a word of English (which is the only language known to me). Vasili was my instructor in Stone and Marble sculpting. Although we do not speak the same language, Vasili can speak most eloquently with his hands.”
