Dita Von Teese's Portrait with Swarovski crystals, Porto Montenegro 2014

Diamonds are forever and that's why I decide to immortalize Dita von Teese using Swarovski crystal. This artwork was sold during the auction that was held at Hotel Regents, Porto Montenegro. Crating a portrait using Swarowski crystals was as exciting as it was difficult, but the result was worth it because Dita looks alive when you look at it.

‘DITA IN HER CAR’
Dita Von Teese was my muse for the project, which is an homage to the artist Tamara de Lempicka and her work ‘Tamara in the Green Bugatti’. Dita is one of the rare personalities today, authentic and stylish. Style is not only the way you are dressed, it is also your approach to life, an attitude and nice manners. In the era when everybody wants to be the same, she is different. After meeting her in Paris in 2011, I was sure that she is the perfect personality for this project…

Dita Von Teese was present at the exhibition of the portrait ‘Dita in her car’ on the 2nd of August 2014 in Hotel Regent, Porto Montenegro.
