Maurizio Camatta in his new works paints the air, the wind with its turbulence that stirs the air, the breath that nurtures and shakes everyday living. The air corporeality as a metaphor of the human soul are inspired by these recent works by Maurizio Camatta.

Through floating and transparent colours, so light as to be taken in with just a look, Camatta highlights the contrast between the ethereal aspect of the depiction of the sky and the expressive power of the painting, which is fixed on the canvas through insistent and layered strokes.

Gemma Billington 'Beyond The Beyond'

Gemma Billington admits that her primary influence is the ever-changing patterns of nature, and the timelessness of this subject. In her paintings Gemma explores the eternity of nature. She steers away from traditional techniques, using raw brushstrokes, applying her paint, almost like a dance, to the canvas.

Roger Aslin ''Urban Narratives'

The recurrent subject of Roger Aslin's works is a figure within an urban environment; this is influenced by Aslin’s personal interest in film and television. Paintings are often developed from his observations of city life caught on camera. These are then further explored digitally before being transferred to canvas, board or paper. Sense of space is created using a highly contrasting palette that reduces forms to their key elements, and attempts to distil the essence of each familiar scenario.

Federico Romero Bayter 'Urban Labyrinths'

Hay Hill Gallery presents Urban Labyrinths a solo exhibition by Federico Romero Bayter, a Colombian artist who lives and works in Italy. This exhibition sees as a protagonist the city that is drew in a three-dimensional way. Rapid signs and tangles of lines change the traditional perception of landscapes, buildings and roads.
